Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his Manhattan apartment Sunday morning (Feb. 2). He was just 46 years old.

New York Post, says the cause of death was a drug overdose. Last summer, Seymour Hoffman checked himself into rehab after becoming addicted to heroin.

Hoffman won the Best Actor Academy Award for his leading role in the 2005 film Capote, and will star in a number of movies set to be released in 2014, including Anton Corbijn’s A Most Wanted Man.
