With his studio album, Oxymoron, now available, TDE rapper ScHoolboy Q took some time recently to speak about romance and his first romantic moment.
According to the Los Angeles rapper, his first time being romantic was ultimately his last. While speaking with Noisey, Q shared the story of how a romantic gesture for the mother of his daughter ended with a blanket accidentally being set on fire.
After sharing his story, ScHoolboy then offered his thoughts on romance as he informed those watching that
“romance does not exit.”
“First time I was romantic towards a girl was my daughter mom,”
ScHoolboy Q said.
“Well, I lit some candles. Next thing I know the blanket was on fire and I ain’t never been romantic again. The blanket was on fire. I’m running around…No, romance does not exist. I don’t even know what that is. That’s like another word for love or something?”
