As previously reported, Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to return as the Terminator in the upcoming reboot, Terminator: Genesis. But how will his return translate on the big screen, being that he’s visibly older?

Arnold first played the role of the killer robot at the age of 37, returned in 1991 at the age of 44, and once again in 2003 at the age of 56. But now, in the upcoming film, he reprises the role at 66.

In a recent interview with MTV, he explained how he’ll be able to play the robot once again.

“The way that the character is written, it’s a machine underneath,”

Schwarzenegger said.

“It’s this metal skeleton. But above that is human flesh. And the Terminator’s flesh ages, just like any other human being’s flesh. Maybe not as fast. But it definitely ages.”

“Terminator deals a lot with time travel, so there will be a younger T-800,”

he continued.

“And then, what that model does later on when it gets reprogrammed, and who gets ahold of him. So it will be all kinds of interesting twists in the movie, but I feel so good.”

Terminator: Genesis opens July 1, 2015. Stay tuned for further details…
