If there was any doubt about the validity of rumors about a “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion rumble, NeNe Leakes, someone who was there, confirmed that things did resort to violence.
“There was a physical confrontation that happened at the reunion,” NeNe told VH1’s “Big Morning Buzz Live.” “They actually touched each other. They actually got physical.”
The bout between Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore was the first actual physical blow out between two of the series’ primary cast members. The men recently ended up in a brawl, but the ladies usually just tug a wig from time to time. However, their words do often sting.
“I don’t condone violence. I do condone a little reading…talk a little trash, but you need to keep your hands to yourself,” said NeNe who’s known for speaking her mind to her cast mates. “They welcome a good argument. That’s always good television, but to touch each other really crosses the line.”
Porsha and Kenya both joined the cast in season 5, but the two women haven’t been able to forge a friendship, despite a bonding moment on a cast trip to Savannah, GA.
According to some rumors, Kenya pushed Porsha too far by pulling out adult toys to taunt her about her ex-husband’s questionable sexuality.
NeNe didn’t confirm or deny the gossip about the inappropriate items allegedly brought to the taping, but she did suggest that Porsha was pushed to her limit.
“One was provoked; the other one knocked her out,” NeNe explained.
NeNe didn’t specify which lady was the aggressor and which was the victim, but Kenya previously released the 911 recording of her calling the police about Porsha’s actions, and Kenya has also assured #TeamTwirl that she would never fight on television.
Unfortunately, just days before the reunion taping, Porsha told Bethenny Frankel that she’d never slap a housewife either.
