If you can’t take a joke….why are you a comedian….
Atlanta police are looking for Mike Epps after he allegedly assaulted comedian Lavar Walker for making fun of Epps’ beef with Kevin Hart.
Walker made an Instagram video making fun of Epps and Hart’s beef. Mike was in town shooting a movie, saw the video, and heard Walker was going to be at Uptown Comedy Corner. So Epps and his entourage allegedly went backstage and asked Walker to go behind the club with him.
There, Walker says Epps verbally threatened him, one guy sucker punched him, he fell…and the kicks and punches kept coming.
Epps “struck me and two other guys struck me,” Walker said. “All over a joke.”
Man that was funny!
Walker was treated at Grady Hospital for a contusion on the head and other facial and body bruises. He was released at 6 a.m. Sunday morning. Craig Wilson, an owner at the club, said he was in the ticket booth when the altercation happened and has no first-hand knowledge of what occurred.
Walker was part of Shaq’s recent All Star Comedy Jam tour but is otherwise a full-time pharmacist.
Epps, a veteran stand-up comic, was in the films “Next Friday” and “Friday After Next.” He frequently does shows in Atlanta, most recently at the Fabulous Fox Theatre last month.
I’m lilD, and that’s the Word Eye Heard. Mike Epps working on becoming Katt Williams or naw….
