Jay Z and Blue Ivy presented Beyonce with the year’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Humbly dubbing his wife as the “greatest living entertainer,” Mr. Carter bestowed the network’s highest honor upon Mrs. Carter, with their daughter, Blue.
After planting a kiss on her husband, Beyonce kept her acceptance speech brief as the crowd chanted and she held back tears.
“I’m so full, thank you. I have nothing to say but that I’m filled with so much gratitude and I just thank God for this moment,” she said. “I love y’all so much. Blue Blue, I love you. My beloved, I love you. My fans, I love you. MTV, I love you. Goodnight.”
