One year ago, the Islamist militant group Boko Haram stormed a government run secondary school in northern Chibok region of Nigeria and kidnapped 267 girls.
Why? Because Boko Haram believes that girls do not belong in school as education “lures” them away from Islamic teachings…
Since then, there have only been rumors, none verified, of what has happened to these girls…
Now, one year later, approximately 219 girls are still missing — but thanks to three women – Bukky Shonibare, Omolola “Lola” Adele-Oso, and Evon Idahosa — they will not be forgotten….
