1.) Baltimore unrest continues in wake of Freddie Gray’s death
Crowds of people and police in Baltimore were in a standoff after protesters defied a curfew put in place by the city. Police began firing smoke and tear gas into the crowds who began throwing objects and the cans back at officers. More than 10 people were arrested overnight. Gray died of a severe spinal injury while in police custody after being arrested on April 12.
2.) Brother of Malissa Williams in court for alleged Brelo threat
// The brother of Malissa Williams, who was shot to death by police in November 2012, will be in court after being charged with aggravated disorderly conduct for alleged comments made about an officer involved in the shooting . 3.) Mayweather – Pacquiao final press conference
Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Manny Pacquiao will hold their final press conference ahead of their title fight on Saturday. The boxing match is being touted as “The Fight of the Century” as the undefeated Mayweather puts his title on the line against the Filipino with 38 knockouts to his name. The fight has been in negotiations for nearly five years as the boxing world losses popularity to Mixed Martial Arts and the Ultimate Fighting Championship league.
4.) Cleveland Police Officer Michael Brelo’s trial continues
The trial for Cleveland Patrolman Michael Brelo resumes today after high-profile use of force expert and firearms expert Ron Martinelli testified on Tuesday .
