CLEVELAND – It was an emotional, heartfelt response from Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams following the shooting death of a 6-month-old girl Thursday evening.
“This should not be happening in our city,” Williams said, as he attempted to hold back tears and keep his emotions in check.
“Another innocent child in our city has been taken from us,” Williams said. “When are we going to stop counting babies being killed in our streets?”
Thursday’s killing is the third young child in Cleveland to die in a drive-by shooting in less than a month.
