Cleveland councilman to ask city to file negligent homicide charges in Tamir Rice case

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland Councilman Jeff Johnson announced Tuesday night via Twitter that he plans to request the city law director to file negligent homicide charges against the officers involved in the Tamir Rice case.
Johnson, a frequent and outspoken critic of Mayor Frank Jackson and his administration, tweeted about 9 p.m. Tuesday that he plans to ask for the charges to be filed.
