CLEVELAND — A man woke up in the back of a garbage truck early Monday morning claiming he had no idea how he got there or how he lost his phone.
The father-to-be admits he had a few drinks with co-workers earlier in the night, however insists he was not drunk.
The last thing he remembers was stepping outside his home for a cigarette, then little after that.
He asked Channel 3 to not show his face out of embarrassment.
Audio from 911 captures the moment the Waste Management driver realized he had a person in back.
“He must’ve been in the dumpster,” he says.
“Where the garbage is?” asks the dispatcher.
“Yes sir,” answers the driver.
The victim suspects the alcohol mixed poorly with his medication. On top of that, he says, he is a heavy sleeper.
