We were very close to getting a collaboration between The Game and Prince.

The music world was shaken with news of Prince’s unexpected death last week, and the tributes to the legendary entertainer have continued to pour in. The Game was one of the artists to share a musical homage to the Purple One, and today, TMZ caught up with the rapper to talk about the one time he and Prince met up to work on music.

“I wanted him to get on a song and he was down to do the song,” said Game. “So we met at Doug Morris’ office at Universal a few years back.”Unfortunately, there was one part of the record that stopped the process in its tracks. “He heard the song and there was one curse word in it and he was like, ‘I can’t get on that, it’s got a curse word in it.'”
