French Montana was on The Wendy Williams Show today (June 7) to talk about his new album MC4 coming Aug. 19, his new crib in Calabasas that he bought from Selena Gomez, the death of Chinx and more.

After discussing the bling and limited edition Yeezys he’s wearing that might never come out, French and Wendy talked about how Kanye invited French to the Sunday night show that never happened and where French got the Mac and Cheese phrase (Max B coined it, duh). “I feel like it’s the most soulful dish you can eat, and it’s soulful music,” he added.

They go on to talk about French’s pet monkey Julius Caesar and the Coke Boy’s dope new house in Calabasas that Selena Gomez sold to him at a discount because she was trying to get away from a stalker.

But the most interesting part of the interview comes at the end, when Wendy Williams brings up comments the late Coke Boy member Chinx’s mother made about French not giving her the answers she needed.

“I think that’s the police job,” said French. “I love Chinx mom but I don’t think we ever had a relationship. I never spoke to her when he was alive. I might have spoken to her one time. The second time I spoke to her was at the funeral and she asked me, ‘What’s going on with my son?’ I said I told him to stay out the streets, don’t be driving around 4 in the morning by yourself or with another person. She said you’re not his father. I said okay…”

French continued, “All I did was give him the platform to feed his family. I never made a dollar off him. All the money he made, I said go take care of your family.”
