Beanie Sigel says he never intended to appear on Meek’s diss track against The Game. He revealed he had been at Meek’s studio in order to help him with lyrics.
Earlier today, The Game posted an Instagram video in response to an alleged brawl between Meek Mill and Beanie Sigel in their hometown of Philly. Just days ago, Sigel was featured on Meek Mill’s “OOOUUU” remix, which functioned as a diss track aimed at The Game, in response to Game’s surprise initial diss, “92 Bars.” Those rumors, initially preposterous, are now starting to make a little more sense…
Phoning into Baltimore’s 92Q Jams, the radio interview begins with Sigel speaking on upcoming music before co-host Persia Nicole changes the subject to ask about his decision to feature on Meek’s diss track. “He didn’t say nothin’ to get me on the track,” says Sigel. “I just happened to come in the studio, so I just was helping him out with some lyrics, and the situation kind of played out like it did.” Hold up. First, he implies that he never intended to be featured on a diss record, and more importantly, he mentions that he had been “helping” Meek out with his lyrics during the session when he recorded the verse that landed on the response track — a shocking revelation considering Meek’s proclaimed attitude toward ghostwriters.
