History was made last night in Cleveland for another time this year and it wasn’t by Lebron. It was Beyonce, Jay-Z along side Hillary Clinton who brought out a full cast of performers at last nights ‘Get Out The Vote’ concert at the CSU Wolstein Center. Over 8,000 people filled the arena as Jay-z opened up a star-studded show featuring Chance the Rapper, Big Sean, J. Cole, and a surprise at the end. Hillary Clinton join the stage with Bey and Jay concluding the performances to encourage voting and her candidacy as the future president of the United States. Beyonce and Jay Z spoke on the reasons why they are ‘With Her’ to encourage African American voting in Ohio. Many from all over Ohio attended the free concert. With early voting coming to an end for the November 8th election day on Tuesday the race for presidency is neck and neck. Statistically African American voting turn out is low. This ‘Get Out The Vote’ concert may have been the encouragement we all need to get out and vote. As said best by President Barack Obama, “Don’t Boo, VOTE!!!”
