LOS ANGELES, CA – We knew Drake was taking home at least one trophy at the 2016 American Music Awards held yesterday (November 20) when he was given a record 13 nominations. And he did, in fact, win a decent amount of the awards.

Drizzy swept the Hip Hop categories, winning Favorite Artist, Favorite Album with VIEWS and Favorite Song with “Hotline Bling.” He also won Favorite Soul/R&B Song with Rihanna for “Work.” Justin Bieber snagged the Pop/Rock awards from his fellow Canadian.

Rihanna had similar success as her rumored beau in the Soul/R&B category, taking home the awards for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Album for Anti. Chris Brown was named Favorite Male Artist for the genre.
