LOS ANGELES, CA – Donald Glover was awarded his first Golden Globe award Sunday (January 8) in the category of Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy for his FX comedy-drama series Atlanta. The 33-year-old thespian also won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy.
The freshman show, slated to return for a second season, beat out veteran series Transparent, Black-ish, Veep and Mozart in the Jungle.
During his acceptance speech, the Georgia-born artist gave a gracious thanks to Migos for nothing more than giving the world “Bad and Boujee.”
