Damon Dash is back in the director’s chair. After creating  cinematic classics like State Property, State Property 2, Paper Soldiers and Paid In Full, the ex-Rocafella Records frontman recently announced that he’s stepping back into the movie game in 2018.

Dash posted a promotional flier from his new film, Honor Up, on social media, in which his longtime friend and fellow Harlem legend, Cam’ron, will star in. Kanye West is said to have served as executive producer.

From the looks of the tags in the post, the film will also feature Smoke DZA, Raekwon, Jadakiss, Styles P, and Dash’s cousin, Stacey Dash. The infamous Stacey Dash alleged, however, that she never gave her cousin permission to use her likeness in the film, even threatening to use legal action towards all parties involved. Ouch. We’ve come a long time from those Roc-A-Fella Records days.

The overall storyline of the film is rumored to be based around Dame’s childhood growing up in Harlem and his journey to success. Dash posted that he’s shown the film to West for his approval, and according to the Harlem native, West handled the administrative dealings behind the movie while Dash focused on the storytelling.

The film is slated to have a theater roll-out on Valentine’s Day of 2018.
