Offset shut down any gossip about getting his chain snatched.

The Met Gala was a night to remember, but an alleged theft made it one the rapper would’ve wanted to forget.

Now here’s how the alleged story goes. Reports shared details claiming the Migo and fiance, Cardi B, left their Hotel Sixty LES hotel room for the event on Monday and apparently didn’t realize the $150,000 chain was missing until he got back to Atlanta. That’s when he called his manager to search the room for the bling, who, then, called the police. One police source claimed the couple, “left the door open so people could come in and out of the room. The door was left open even when they weren’t in the room,” according to Page Six.

Leaving a public room full of thousands of dollars open for anyone to walk in without security present doesn’t sound like something any hip-hop couple would allow. Especially since Cardi is expecting. However, it took almost a week for manager, Danny Zook, to deny even being involved in the investigation.

Offset also most recently decided to denounce the stolen jewelry story as “fake news.”

The “Ric Flair Drip” spitter posted a video on social media alongside Rich the Kid rocking the short linked chain matched with his “YFN OFFSET” piece. Since a culprit of sticky fingers hasn’t been announced, maybe it was misplaced in his many “bags of jewelry.”
