The Rewind

DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius are back again, breaking down this week’s hottest topics on The Rewind.

We start off the episode discussing the return of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode in Halloween. The slasher film hit theaters on October 19th and is the eleventh film in the Halloween franchise.  However, despite being the eleventh film in the franchise, the newest Halloween is a direct sequel to its 1978 predecessor of the same name.  It brings everyone from the first film into the newest film and makes for an awesome nostalgic experience. Franchise and Landon Levarius give their take on the new film and let us know whether or not they’re feeling it. Was it as scary as it should have been? Our guys give their rating.

Next, we take a look back at Future’s new track, “Transformer” featuring the Head Barb In Charge, Nicki Minaj.  “Transformer” is one of the lead tracks on Future & Juice WRLD’s WRLD On Drugs project that dropped last week. In the song, Nicki Minaj goes back to stopping bags (as she’s been accused by Cardi B, Remy Ma, Tiffany Foxx and others). The song was produced by Jacob ATL and is very much the song we could come to expect from Future — not that that’s a bad thing.

DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius step into music critic mode and provide some feedback on the new song. Was it too typical of a Future track or did the Dirty Sprite connoisseur exhibit some growth? We find out on this week’s episode of The Rewind.
