We’re only at the end of February and 2019 has been an intense journey for 21 Savage. The rapper has been both arrested and released from ICE custody, and his American freedom continues to hang in the balance. However, 21 Savage is making sure he continues his efforts in giving back to his community—Atlanta and beyond—by expanding upon his “Bank Account Campaign” named after his hit single.

In Spring 2018, the rapper appeared on The Ellen Show to not only give a performance of “Bank Account,” but to share the vision behind his campaign. “I started the 21 Savage Bank Account Campaign and it’s to help kids learn how to save money and make money, and open bank accounts for kids,” he stated at the time. The announcement came after Stone Mound Meezy, 21 Savage’s manager, tweeted that the rapper would be moving away from the bling lifestyle and investing his money in youth-orientated projects.
