FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio — Fairview Park police and Cleveland police are looking for two missing girls and a mother who allegedly left them in a car Wednesday for an extended period, gave police a fake ID, backed into a patrol car and then led officers on a chase.

The woman, Caryann Sewell, 23, is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs around 170 pounds.

On Thursday afternoon, Cleveland police requested the public’s help in locating the two missing girls: Tamani McCalla, 2, and Talisha McCalla, 4.

According to Rocky River Municipal Court records, Sewell has been charged with failure to comply with a police officer and identity theft.

Around 11 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to a nursing home near Fairview Park city hall for two children left in a car.

Authorities said they located the driver, but she gave them a fake identification card. Police used the woman’s fingerprints to find out her real identity and discovered she had multiple warrants out for her arrest. Authorities later learned that Sewell also allegedly had stolen license plates on her vehicle.

According to FPPD, the woman backed into a nearby cruiser and then drove away, which led to a brief police pursuit that was terminated for public safety.
