According to reports from ESPN Cleveland Indians All-Star shortstop Francisco Lindor will be returning to Tribe tonight. Long overdue and much appreciated!

CLEVELAND — Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor is back with the team after missing the first 18 games of the season.

He was activated from the injured list prior to Saturday’s doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves. He is not in the starting lineup for Game 1, but manager Terry Francona said Lindor will play at shortstop in the second game.

Lindor had been out since spraining an ankle near the end of spring training while he was still recovering from a calf sprain.

To make room on the roster, slugger Hanley Ramirez was designated for assignment.
