“I heard gunshots, but I didn’t know they were shooting at me. They’re going to pay. I promise. They’re going to rot in hell for what they did.”

DURHAM, NC – It’s been stated as of Tuesday morning, October 15, 2019, Rich The Kid’s artist ‘Lil Tony’ (Antonio Davenport) has been charged with first-degree murder after the shooting of 9-year old Z’Yon Person on August 18, 2019.

Z’yon was alongside his aunt, grandmother, sister and three cousins as they were on their way to Pelican’s Snowballs before the shooting occured.

Davenport was already being held on multiple charges such as: second degree kidnapping and misdemeanor child abuse.

He is now being charged with first-degree murder, felony conspiracy to commit murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious bodily injury, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, five counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied property.

Davenport wasn’t offered a chance to bond out and will be assigned a public defender and return to court November 21, 2019.

“I hear a horn and when the horn beeped I looked around,” Z’Yon’s aunt, Danyell Ragland, told ABC11. “I’m getting ready to turn and … I hear gunshots, but I didn’t know they were shooting at me. They’re going to pay. I promise. They’re going to rot in hell for what they did.”

“Davenport is part of the group 83 babies which signed to Rich Forever Music in March. The trio’s “No Cap” video was released in May and featured guest vocals from Rich.”
