John Witherspoon left a hole in the comedy industry with his passing. He’s left behind tons of family and friends and scores of fans that will continue to keep his legacy alive through his body of work. John aka Pops will be forever missed. Recently, days after his public funeral, reports reveal the actual cause of death. According to TheJasmineBrand:
“According to reports, John Witherspoon was struggling with coronary artery disease and suffered a heart attack at the time of his passing. He also had issues with hypertension, but that wasn’t said to be a factor in his death.”
This is so sad and a true testament to why we need to take care of ourselves. Illnesses like the ones Pops suffered from is very prevalent in the African American community but can be prevented with proper diet and healthcare. Continue to pray for Pops and his family, friends and fans!!
