So you’ve been courting, learning each other and growing feelings for each other. Now that feelings are growing stronger you need to make it your business to continue to keep God at the head of your relationship and to seek God for matters of the heart. Once emotions become involved we can sometimes be blinded by our own desires. We may say yes, but God may say, “stop”, “slow down” or “not now.” Our hearts are deceitful and only God knows the depths of it. It is essential to seek his guidance throughout the courting process and especially if your judgement can be clouded. Ask for discernment on next steps for the relationship and have faith in God to lead you all the way. God knows what’s best for us and the path that He wants us to take.
Scripture teaches us “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness : and all these things shall be added unto you.” God wants you to know love but know Him first.That’s our tip of the day. Our goal is to Love Like Christ, for we know that Christ is the true example of Love and we want to be like Him.
