Ye is getting dragged to court over one of his songs on the Donda album. A Bishop from Texas is suing Kanye West for claiming the singer used his sermon on the song “Come to Life”. You can hear at the beginning of the song a pastor preaching, and Ye vocals comes in on top of the sermon.
Bishop David Paul Moten claims that the artist used his sermon for 70 seconds of the 5 minute track.
The sermon was sampled and for that Ye is being sued! The Bishop did say “wilfully and egregiously sampling sound recordings of others without consent or permission”.
