Black Lives Matter go co-founder Patrisse Cullors was getting a lot of backlash when it was revealed that she purchased a mansion secretly. There was home purchased in 2020 that has six bedrooms and bathrooms, a swimming pool, a soundstage, and office space.

Rumors about her living at the property has been denied, and that she has not taken the property for personal gain.
“The idea that [the foundation] received millions of dollars and then I hid those dollars in my bank account is absolutely false,” she told AP. “That’s a false narrative. It’s impacted me personally and professionally, that people would accuse me of stealing from black people.”
Cullors admitted to seeking refuge at the property after receiving threats on her life, that ha been alleged.
