While Kelis reportedly had a number of choices when it came time to sign a recording and distribution deal for her as-yet-untitled 2010 album, the “Acapella” singer believes choosing Black Eyed Peasstar/producer Will.I.Am was the right decision.
“I think he’s brilliant,” Kelis tells Rap-Up. “He’s like a musical encyclopedia.”
When it comes to taking her sound to the next level, Kelis says Will.I.Am has no problem with pushing the envelope.
“He’s not afraid to push the limits and kinda go further than everyone else and that’s exciting.”
