Signing Day 2010: Glenville’s Latwan Anderson Leaves Options Open
CLEVELAND — Glenville High School wide receiver/defensive back, Latwan Anderson, is leaving his options open for the moment in terms of his college future.
Anderson had verbally committed to West Virginia University but did not sign a letter of intent on Wednesday.
Anderson told WKYC that he’s been approached by USC and new head coach Lane Kiffin about playing his college career for the Trojans.
Kiffin took over for Pete Carroll who left USC to return to the NFL. Kiffin coached one season at the University of Tennessee.
Anderson who is 6’0″ and 195 says The Ohio State University and WVU all remain possibilities. He hopes to make a decision in the next two weeks on where he will play his college career.
In all the Cleveland Metropolitan School District had 16 students sign football letters of intent. The list includes Christian Bryant, a 5’10’ 185 pound corner back. He signed a letter of intent with Ohio State. Bryant says he enjoyed meeting with coach Jim Tressel who traveled to Cleveland to meet Bryant.
The 16 football players played at Glenville, John Adams and John F. Kennedy high schools.
In addition to the football players, two Collinwood students signed letters of intent for Michigan in track and field.
