Mr.Anthony Sowell, the East Cleveland native is convicted of killing 11 women and dumping their remains around his home. Also, he was convicted of sexually assaulting 3 women who testified against him in court. Earlier in court today, Dr.Dave Watson, a neuro-psychologist spoke on Anthony Sowell’s behalf with relations to his childhood upbringing and the cause of why Anthony Sowell is in the situation he is in.
Reports that tears rolled down Sowell’s face as Dr. Dave Watson, an expert witness for the defense, described to jurors the conditions in which Sowell grew up. The jury will decide if Sowell receives life in prison or the death penalty. “He was spanked because he coughed without covering his mouth, ” said Dr. Watson. “Instead of having a babysitter, he was frequently left on his own.”
This is a sad case and hopefully justice will be served, but on the other hand should the prosecutors and jury reason with his past and how his childhood upbringing may have played a major part.
