Happy Birthday Mr. President! Obama’s 50th birthday fund-raising tickets cost $35,800 per couple! He kicked off his 50th bash last night in Chicago with lots of celeb guests, including singer Jennifer Hudson and supporters.
High rollers enjoyed VIP seating and a celebrity packed ‘birthday concert’ at Chicago’s historic Aragon Ballroom during the August 3rd bash which comes just days after Congress finally signed a debt deal agreement.
Obama has already raised a combined $86 million for his re-election campaign and the Democratic party during the past three months, far more than Republican candidates who have collectively raised just $35million so far.
SO WHAT DID DONORS GET FOR THEIR MONEY?
$50 = Entry to the celebrity concert
$1000 = Concert plus Premium seating with a hosted bar
$10,000 = ‘Preferred’ seating at the concert and a souvenir photo with Obama
The event was hosted by Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Obama 2012 campaign chairman Jim Messina.
