“Wild Out Wednesday,” a segment during popular BET Show “106 & Park,” showcased male Hip Hop and R&B artists this past Wednesday. Ohio artist B Wills impressed more than just the crowd.
Performing his song “Derwin Davis,” he took a huge risk by focusing on clever lyrics instead of relying on an overly excited hypeman or bass-heavy beat. He perfectly described every character on the game, referring to himself as the star of the show:
Last year a rookie, this year I’m Derwin Davis.
The biggest shock came when “Derwin Davis” became a trending topic on Twitter, and Pooch Hall (Derwin) himself said he not only wanted to make a video for the song, but wanted to try and tie it in with the popular BET show.
B Wills won Wild Out Wednesday, but he won much more than that.
