While she still maintains an amount of love and respect for Anthony, J. Lo explains her decision to leave the relationship.

Lopez opens up to contributing editor Lisa Robinson about her life with Anthony and the example she hopes to set for her children; she talks about her relationship with P. Diddy and breaking off her engagement to Ben Affleck; she’s honest about the diva rumors that surround her, and shares her attitudes toward money, fame, and especially love. “I’m a hopeless romantic and passionate person when it comes to love,” Lopez explains, describing the passage that has brought her to her current state of mind. “It’s not that I didn’t love myself before. Sometimes we don’t realize that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself–if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now.” (Vanity Fair)

Last month, Terror Squad rapper Fat Joe shared his shocked reaction to J. Lo and Marc Anthony’s split.

“It was “one of the saddest days of my life was the three of four days ago,” Fat Joe, told Fox News Latino. “That’s my favorite couple.” Fat Joe, whose real name is Joseph “José” Antonio Cartagena says he believes that J.Lo and Marc Anthony are a force to be reckoned with. “They are powerful Latinos, a powerful couple,” said Fat Joe. “I love them both.” The Bronx native, who referred to the couple “as family,” says he has plans to collaborate with both of them individually. “We are supposed to do a big concert coming up with J.Lo,” said Fat Joe. After recent buzz emerged online claiming J. Lo and Diddy have resumed their past love affair, a rep for the singer denied the speculation.

Here’s a BIGGER shock (hardly) — Diddy and Jennifer Lopez did NOT go on a date. They did NOT have dinner at Philippe last Wednesday. Her rep confirms exclusively to Gossip Cop, “Jennifer was on the set of her new film ‘What To Expect When you Are Expecting’ in Atlanta on Wednesday.” And the CEO of the Philippe Chow Restaurant Group also tells us he heard no such thing. The Latin singer is widely known for her relationship with Diddy in the late 1990’s.

J-Lo and Marc are notorious for moving on quickly from relationships. They even said their vows just four days after Marc’s divorce was finalized! Does their dating history mean it is possible they could shack up with former flames soon? Could J-Lo go back to rapper Sean Combs? She has said that she still loves Diddy, who she was with from 1999-2001. The former couple split up amidst charges following a shooting in a night club. (Hollywood Life)

The new issue of Vanity Fair hits newsstands Wednesday, August 3rd.
