In Birdman’s eyes, his brand is worth up to half a billion dollars.

Asked about the worth of orthodontic work in mouth, he doesn’t hesitate for a moment: “Half a million.” He grins. “I try to wear $1 million a day. At least.” Birdman has had a hand in over 90 million records sold, amassing a personal fortune of $100 million by FORBES’ last count. For Birdman, that estimate is something of an indignity. “I just felt $100 million was low,” he says, wrapping each word in a deep Louisiana drawl. “With all the different entities, I think I should still be a lot more than that. $500 million. $250 million, easy … As a child I always felt if I could make $1 million, I could make $100 million. If I could get $100 million, I’m just nine steps away from being a billionaire. And that’s the goal.” (Forbes)

In July, Birdman gave his opinion to recently getting ranked below 50 Cent and Diddy in regard to wealth.

“They wildin’. I think I should be worth more to them, if they look at the brand and the years,” Birdman aka Baby explains. “I mean, if they predict me as a hundred, I’ve been doing this 22 years and you averaging me with, what, $4 million a year, $5 million a year?… I ain’t trippin’. I don’t care about being on Forbes. That don’t make or break me at all…Ain’t no diss to it. I respect it, but let’s just get that sh*t right.” (XXL Mag)

Despite being credited with wealth projected at $100 million, Baby recently said he easily banks in more money.

“I don’t know how they tally up,” Baby said in an interview with Uptown Angela referring to Forbes‘ list.”To my knowledge I thought it was down. They said I made a $100 million dollars. I don’t know where they get that sh*t from. I’m banking in more than a $100 million. That’s a low number for a n*gga like me. But it’s cool. For anybody to recognize anything is respected. We know what to do. The goal in our life and my life is to be a billionaire. I’m flipping hundreds. I ain’t that far. I’m about eight steps.” (Urban Radio NO)

Earlier this week, Baby landed on Forbes‘ Cash Kings list amongst Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Diddy.

Jay-Z (aka Shawn Carter) leads all comers once again with $37 million in earnings since last August. A majority of the dough is proceeds from his Blueprint 3 tour. Nipping at his heels, however, is fellow mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who raked in a neat $35 million from his Bad Boy record label, his Sean John clothing line and his lucrative Ciroc vodka deal. West may have landed at No. 3, but he’s a ways down there at “only” $16 million. The rest of the top 10 had similar years, revenue-wise, with Cash Money honcho Bryan “Birdman” Williams tying Lil Wayne for the next two spots with $15 million, showing that tha Carter isn’t doing too bad, either.
