So many people taking advantage of the great weather here, but are thugs using the weather to their advantage?

Detectives in Akron are investigating seven robberies that occurred Monday night.

The robbery spree started around 10:30 and ended around 12:30 Tuesday morning. In all of the robberies, the victims were out walking when the suspects approached them.

The suspects used a handgun and robbed the victims of their belongings, cell phones, wallets, electronic devices and money. During two of the robberies, the victims were assaulted. No serious injuries were reported.

The robbery spree started at Johnston Street and Black Street and appears to have ended at Grant Street and East Emerling Avenue.

The suspects are four black males, 16 to 30 years old, wearing various colors of clothing. No vehicle has been identified.
