An off-duty East Cleveland police officer charged with disorderly conduct – a minor misdemeanor.

Officer David Perez had to be tasered by North Olmsted police.

North Olmsted Police were called to the Clague Road home of Perez’s ex-wife on August 27th around 2AM after neighbors heard yelling.

Once on scene, Perez’s ex-wife told officers that nothing physical happened and the two had just had an argument. Perez was passed out in the kitchen.

When he woke up, he was very uncooperative and refused to give any information about himself. He then started to go towards his wife in a threatening manner.

At that point, the officer placed him under arrest. Perez resisted, so they tasered him.

Perez was placed in a holding cell until sober and then released.
