Chris Brown has rewarded a female fan after she handed in a $22K Rolex he lost during the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.
The F.A.M.E. star performed a medley during the ceremony and threw the watch onto a trampoline onstage when it unclasped early on in the performance. But someone jumped on the trampoline and the watch sprung into the crowd.
A young fan, Alisha Borton, caught the Rolex and put it on her wrist, but returned it to Chris’ bodyguard after the performance when she saw him looking for it. A rep said at the time: “Although Chris did not get to meet the fan, he is very appreciative of the fan’s actions.”
Alisha came forward and identified herself a few days later after the Beautiful People hitmaker appealed for her to get in touch.
Chris has promised her tickets to an upcoming gig with backstage passes and a meet-and-greet with the star.
He wrote on Twitter: “S/O to Alisha Borton for returning my watch at the VMAs!! I want to invite you to my show in Cincinnati. Can’t wait to meet you!!!”
