PARMA, OH (WOIO) –

A 30-year-old tossed in jail after robbing the Parma CVS on Brookpark Road.

Police tell 19 Action News Michael Klak entered the store wearing a hooded sweatshirt and had his mouth and head covered.  He approached the pharmacy, pulled out a white bag and told the pharmacy technician, “you have ten seconds to fill it with Opana and Oxycontin” – both an opiate based pain medication.

Klak then indicated that he would shoot the technician. The bag was filled with over $14,000 worth of medication.

The thug fled the business on foot, and a search ensued. An officer and his K9 were able to track the suspect, where he was arrested with the assistance of uniformed patrol officers while trying to get into a vehicle and flee.

All but four pills were recovered at the time of the arrest.

Klak faces potential charges of Aggravated Robbery and Possession of Felony Drugs.

A woman who was inside the vehicle was also arrested. It is unknown if the woman was also involved in the robbery.
