CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO)
Saturday at approximately 4:27 a.m., Fifth District zone cars responded to 1201 E. 185th Street for a male shot. Once on scene cops located Eugene Cirino, Wickliffe, with a gunshot wound to the ankle. EMS was notified, responded to the scene and Cirino was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he was treated and released for his injury.

The preliminary investigation reveals that the 47-year old traded his 2000 Chevy Blazer to the suspect for crack cocaine and the suspect did not return the auto. Cirino had someone drive him around in an attempt to locate his auto. In the 1200 block of E. 185th Street Cirino observed the suspect parked in a lot in his auto. He tried to retrieve his auto from the suspect and a physical altercation ensued. During the altercation the suspect produced a handgun, shot Cirino in the ankle and after shooting the suspect fled the scene in the victim’s auto.

Fifth District Officers toured the area for the suspect with negative results. However, Cirino auto was located unoccupied in the 13000 block of Casper Avenue.

Cops are looking for a black male, 5’10” and 160 lbs.
