Former music executive Steve Stoute is touting a new book entitled “The Tanning of America: How the Culture of Hip-Hop Rewrote the Rules of the New Economy.” And to coincide the book’s release, Stoute — who is best known for linking the music industry with corporate America — is hosting a new video series with AOL HuffPocalled “The Tanning Effect.”

Making a name for himself in the music and business industries, Steve Stoute has been able to provide some of today’s biggest stars with high profile endorsement deals and business ventures, like Justin Timberlake’s McDonald’s deal, LeBron James‘ deal with State Farm, Jay-Z’s exclusive Reebok line and even Lady Gaga’s partnership with MAC Cosmetics.

In his “Tanning Effect” series, Stoute will sit down and talk about race, business and pop culture with superstars like Jay-ZPharrell Williams, Lady Gaga and Interscope exec. Jimmy Iovine.
