When you first hear this story, your first instinct is to feel for the mother in some way.

Then you start to take certain factors into consideration: she’s 28; she has 8 kids ages 11 to 11 months; she named all seven of her boys the exact same thing; and all of her children are in foster care.

A Manhattan mom and dad snatched their eight children from foster care during a scheduled visit at a child agency in Queens, authorities said.

Shanel Nadal, 28, took her seven boys, all of whom have the same name, and baby girl from a supervised visit on Monday at around 4 p.m. at the Forestdale child agency on 112th Street near 67th Drive in Forest Hills.

“Everybody is shocked, nobody expected this,” said one of the children’s foster parents, who declined to give her name.

Officials at the agency, a contractor of the city Administration for Children’s Services, declined comment.

Nadal is believed to have fled with the kids and their father, Nephra Payne, 34, in a black 1996 Chevrolet Suburban, with the license plate EXZ-5896.

Cops were not sure how she was able to spirit the kids out to the car.

All of the boys — who range in age between 4 and 11 — are named Nephra Payne, and have different middle names, including: Yahmen, 4, Umeek, 5, Rahsul and Shalee, both 6, John, 9, and Ceo 10. The middle name for the 11-year-old was not known.

The girl, Nefertiti, is 11 months old.
