Diddy’s oldest son Justin Combs may come from a family of entertainers, but he is slowly making his mark on the football field as a gifted and dedicated athlete. Although he has yet to decide on which university he’ll be attending next Fall, he is being offered full scholarships from several Division I schools across the nation. He has also been selected to play in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl which will take place in Phoenix in January. Only 100 kids from across the nation were picked to play in the Bowl and Justin was one of two New Yorkers that were chosen. During a ceremony at his prep school to announce the news, Justin said he’s living his dream:

“It’s just a dream come true. I dreamed about this when I was younger and now I don’t even know what to say about it. I‘m just living my dream. All my hard work has paid off.”

“I sacrificed my whole summer just to get better. I worked with professionals to improve my game. If you want something so badly you will do anything for it and I want this more than anything.”

Justin was so dedicated to becoming a better player on the field that he flew to Texas for a week for speed training during the Summer and he also spent time in Jersey, honing his defensive back skills with Jets player Darelle Reavis. His passion for football was inherited from his father, Diddy who had dreams of becoming a football star when he was younger.

“He was very serious about football in high school. “He got injured though in his senior year so he couldn’t really pursue it. That was always his dream though, to play football, but it never happened.”

His Assistant Coach Darla James tells ESPN that people will think that he receives special attention because of his famous father, but Justin actually works hard to be the best player he can be.

“He could be like every other rich kid, but you have to give him credit, he works hard,” James said. “His work ethic is tremendous, he is not a great football player because of his dad, it’s because of all the work he puts into his game.

“He just wants to be known as Justin Combs, he doesn’t want to be called Little Diddy.”
