Justin Bieber has been showing off his rap skills for awhile now while collaborating with artists like Chris Brown and Luda but does he really write his own rhymes?? He wanted to show off his skills and gain a bit more credibility by participating in a BET Hip Hop Awards cypher earlier this month but was rejected by DJ Premier. According to the legendary DJ, he booted Bieber from the cypher, not because he was a pop sensation, but because he would only do it if Ludacris wrote his rhymes for him.

So I said, ‘Yo, as long as he got a dope rhyme, let him spit.’ But then we heard, ‘Oh, he wants Luda to write his rhyme.’ I was like ‘Oh, no, no, no, no, no. If you ain’t writing your own rhyme you can’t do it.’ So Justin had to take a back seat. Write your own rhymes, honey.”
