A dispute on the court turned into a vicious attack at a New York City high school today as a teen was stabbed repeatedly with a pair of scissors.

15 year old Alfredo Allen, was rushed to Kings County Hospital Tuesday afternoon to have emergency surgery after he was attacked during a basketball game.

He’s listed in critical condition. A Fire Department spokesman said an ambulance was dispatched to Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn after a 911 call came in after noon.

The gym is shared by several schools, including the High School for Service and Learning, where alleged attacker Chevoy Nelson is a special ed student.

Students at the school said a fight broke out between the two during a basketball game. They said a punch was thrown, but it wasn’t immediately clear who threw it.

Nelson allegedly ran off the court and found a pair of scissors. One witness said he asked a teacher for ‘acid.’ When the teacher said no, students said Nelson took the scissors and returned, chasing Allen before plunging the blades into his head and neck.

Student witness Wayne Morgan told the News: ‘He stabbed the guy in the head like seven times. ‘The teacher was there, but it’s not like he let it happen – the whole thing happened in like 5 seconds.’

Horrified students who witnessed the attack scattered out of the gym, running for their lives. Freshman Jessica Sanchez said: ‘I saw all the blood and I ran. I didn’t want him coming after me.’

But instead of chasing anyone, Nelson reportedly walked to a school office, where he waited for police to cuff his blood-soaked hands.

Charges against Nelson are pending.
