Whose weed was it? Club owner wants restitution for being arrested!!
Young Money rapper Drake has become embroiled in a marijuana bust in an Oklahoma City nightclub. He was not arrested, the club’s manager was. Now the owner is claiming it was Drizzy D.’s fault, and he wants financial restitution.
It all started when the rap star reportedly asked the owner of Oklahoma City’s Dollhouse Lounge to close down the club for his private party on March 1. According to the owner, Drizzy showed up with an enormous entourage. As the evening wore on, the Dollhouse’s staff smelled the pungent odor of the evil weed wafting from the direction of the VIP area where Drake was ensconced. The manager shut the party down, but unfortunately not before someone called the cops. Ostensibly, the blue meanies arrived on the scene “to restore order and usher people out of the club.”
But alas, they found a half-smoked joint in the VIP lounge. They issued the club’s manager a ticket, and then arrested her. Yikes.
Needless to say, both the owner and the manager are unhappy. The owner says none of this would have happened had Drake not reserved the club for the night. That’s probably true, actually. He wants the musician to pay up to the tune of several thousand dollars. So far, there’s been no comment from the manager who may or may not still be in jail.
