Earlier this week,  super producer Timbaland visited Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club and discussed the future of hiphop, future collaborations and his upcoming album, “Shock Value III.”

Timbaland, a native of Virginia, gave details on “Shock Value III” by saying, “I got Wayne, Ross, I wanna do one with Kanye– mostly the rappers I got this time.”  The producer also talked about his longtime friend and fellow producer/musician Missy Elliot, and a possible collaboration with hiphop’s Queen, Nicki Minaj.

“Missy would want that,” said Timbaland.  “I wanna do that with this record.  I know Nicki like Missy.  I think it should be for [Missy’s album] more than mine.  […] it would make more of a statement to be with hers.”

Timbaland also went on to discuss DrakeAaliyah and a possible collaboration record with the two.  “I know [that] they [are] trying to drop some Aaliyah records.  I got something that I never put out.  I’m trying to get one done now just for the fans, but if [Drake] do it, it should be with me, and him, and Missy.  The best decision– what the fans would want to see, is all three of us.”

The possibility of a collaboration between Drake, Aaliyah and Timbaland will surely ease the painful waiting period for “Shock Value III,” which has been pushed back from its original release date.  With that said, if the song does come to fruition, count on it to be one of the biggest of the summer.
