Who knows what or how it went wrong, but this is a step forward to see our childhood heroes not have to live through pain while we cheer for the gruesome play on the field. This complex story will be an emotional toll for those wondering what went wrong. Thankfully, the Seau family has contributed to find the source for cause.
The family of former NFL star linebacker Junior Seau, who committed suicide on Wednesday, has decided to donate his brain so that researchers can study it for effects from concussions, the Los Angeles Time reported.
“The family was considering this almost from the beginning, but they didn’t want to make any emotional decisions,” San Diego Chargers chaplain Shawn Mitchell told The Times on Thursday night. “And when they came to a joint decision that absolutely this was the best thing, it was a natural occurrence for the Seau family to go forward.”
