While the actual new release dates are slim this week, expect big things from Obie Trice, and a trio of Meek Mill, J. Cole and Big Sean that surely won’t disappoint.
The biggest news this week of course comes from Meek Mill, who will be dropping his Dreamchasers 2 mixtape. As Meek gears for his solo debut album this summer, he’s definitely keeping the streets fed until the full length drops. When he’s not chasing dreams, it looks like Meek will be collaborating on a project with J. Cole and Big Sean. The three willl unite on a new mixtape coming soon. There’s no title yet, but it’s good to see that Hip Hop’s newest talent will be joining forces, repping MMG, Roc Nation, and G.O.O.D. Music all on one project.
Meanwhile, Obie Trice is back in the conversation as he preps The Hangover mixtape. After Bottoms Up and the Watch the Chrome mixtape, Trice doesn’t seem to be backing down any time soon. It’s all about a strong work ethic in these streets. General Steele of Smif-N-Wessun seems to have quite the stellar work ethic over the years. On May 16th he’s the next in line for Art Of the Freestyle Vol. 7, with David Banner’s Sex, Drugs & Video Games finally coming on May 22nd, and 50 Cent’s The Lost Tape with DJ Drama arriving two days later on May 24th.
