According to The Urban Daily, Ms. Melodie has indeed passed away. A former member of Boogie Down Productions and the ex-wife of KRS-ONE, creating the album “Diva” in 1989 Ramona Parker was one of the first females to grace the hip-hop scene rapping over the microphone and her legendary status shall not go unnoticed.
First and foremost, we at The Word Eye Heard would like to express our condolences to the loved ones of Ms. Melodie. May she Rest In Peace and forever remain in the forefront of Hip-Hop history while friends and fans mourn.
Melodie, AKA Ramona Scott, was born in Flatbush, Brooklyn.
She was married to KRS-One in Juy 1987, and was associated with his group Boogie Down Productions (BDP) until the couple’s divorce in 1992.
